Anna Lashkay

PhD Candidate

Anna is a Psychology PhD candidate at the University of Limerick. She is part of a project run by Prof Orla Muldoon, looking at social identity and trauma.

Anna’s research looks at how stigma affects people's social identity and experiences of trauma. Specifically, she is exploring how survivors of trauma may distance themselves from stigmatized groups in stigmatized contexts, and how that is linked to dissociative symptoms. Anna is also interested in how this relates to other traumatic outcomes, such as post-traumatic stress and growth.
